During its 21-month duration, running from July 2016 to January 2018, the HAIVAIRN team developed the network over three stages, each marked by a network workshop event, and involving network members and the Network Advisory Group at The Glasgow School of Art (September 2016), Newcastle University (March 2017), and the University of Nottingham (October 2017).
At each of these three main events, invited guest speakers, including one overseas guest (in stages 1 and 2), addressed challenges posited by the investigators and responded to a set of associated questions. These responses formed the basis for a series of discussions whose themes were visually mapped as the basis for subsequent workshop activities. Exploratory interim activities and consultations further informed these main events. Within this context the network sought to progressively and purposefully expand membership and participation, both through receiving expressions of interest and through targeted interim outreach activities. As the funding supported relatively small scale workshop events, attendance at these was intentionally limited, but consultation and discussion with all members was ongoing throughout.
A network report will be available to download from this website in January 2018.
